Project: Update the home owner’s kitchen by adding functional elements such as custom pullouts for storage and rollout trays and replacing items that were not operating as they should replacing them with additional storage. Here the desk was removed and replace with a new drawer stack. The area that was once used as a mail slot was replace with an appliance garage. New cabinetry was added above the existing upper cabinets with glass doors and to act as storage for cookbooks and display. Modifications were also made to the existing cabinets to house new appliances. All of the remaining existing cabinetry was refaced for a fresh, more durable finish, concealed hinges were used on an updated door style. Also, raised paneled ends and decorative were added wherever applicable for added design detail. The switch was made from laminate countertops to granite and new lighting was utilized in this kitchen remodel.
