Project: This Shawnee kitchen update started with the refacing of the cabinetry using a grey pigmented catalyzed lacquer. The cabinet reface includes 3/8″ lumber face frame material, doors, concealed hinges, hardware and molding. We added rollout trays to the cabinetry and a door to the back of the peninsula so that blind corner storage was more easily accessible and usable. The upper cabinetry above the peninsula was removed to open up the space. The removed cabinet space was then added back above the existing upper wall cabinetry with new custom cabinetry. Some of the new doors have clear glass panels for display. The laminate countertops were removed and replaced with quartz.
